Neighborhood Comics Book Clubs

A new way to celebrate your passion and support the shop, no matter where you live.

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Neighborhood Comics Book Clubs. This is a monthly subscription where you receive a graphic novel via mail or local pickup and access to a live stream or in person discussion of the work. These discussions will often be with creators involved with the project and a genre-specific moderator. Live discussions for the book clubs will be at our Savannah, GA store locations.

We’re launching with three book clubs with three very different focuses. That said, many readers are omnivores and no one will stop you for signing up for multiple clubs! All clubs will meet in person and provide a private Zoom link for remote attendance.

Nostalgia Cult is hosted by me. Titles discussed will include books revisiting pop culture and comic book characters from the 80s and 90s viewed through a modern lens.

The Vertigo Book Club is hosted by Kristina Vetter. Titles discussed will include books published under DC's Vertigo label as well as Dark Horse's Berger Books. These books will be mature in subject matter and are for ages 18+.

Comics with Kate is hosted by Kate Sherron. Titles discussed will include books pulled from Kate's reading syllabus as a sequential art professor. This is a great way to get classic graphic novels on your shelf.
