Neighborhood Comics Summertime Update
In which the summer doldrums set in.

I cannot believe how quickly this year is flying by. I feel like we’ve all been stretched too thin and time is just marching along without us.
Our summer so far has been full of oppressively hot days and sporadic afternoon downpours. Those two things combined have severely stunted foot traffic. But there are usually a few tourists a day that come in for some air conditioning and (if we’re lucky) a few comics.
Folks are definitely feeling squeezed by the economy. Register sales are down and inquiries to sell comic collections are way up. We’re having to say no to some really excellent back issue and inventory opportunities due to the lopsided finances. Being grown ups is hard!
Fletcher, Claudia and Kevin have been traveling so Liz and I have held the shop together. We’re closing on July 4 to get a breather. Here’s a full rundown of what’s happening this month:
